The Ask:
Expand upon an existing app design by adding something that is traditionally unseen.
The Answer:
An addition to the Seek plant and animal identification app that allows users to browse research on identified species. The module integrates research papers that use data from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) database, which Seek gives users the opportunity to upload their observations to for research use. In this way, the addition of research papers into the Seek app not only improves research accessibility, but also encourages citizen science.
