Hi, I'm Del!
I'm currently a student pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at the University of Florida as well as the Creative Director of EMIC Anthropology Magazine. I specialize in research-driven, connection-focused graphic design.
I begin any project I undertake with multiple rounds of research. This begins with the standard audience, typeface, and style research, but branches out quickly into project-specific exploration, taking me through countless archives and libraries, sometimes even leading me to specific people.
This research allows me, firstly, to ensure I am representing my subjects accurately — an important consideration in my roles at Emic Anthropology magazine and The Independent Florida Alligator. Additionally, the extensiveness of my research enables me to connect on a deeper level with my audiences by linking complicated concepts with understandable visuals and language, a practice that I am still exploring in my current work.
Feel free to reach out via my contact page or by email. My resume is available upon request.
